Dilemma

I am at a loss at my FYP choices, I really don't know what I shd do. Have been pondering over this for a week, looking at the project descriptions over and over again. Also, partly this allocation is most likely based on CAP, and mine isn't high, so in the end, I may not even get what I really wanted to do. So luck plays a part! Its true, to some extent.. Some profs have really great projects, but I dun really like the profs.

Lots of stuff coming up...

1. ESE camp, something which I am still trying to get myself involved. Just came back from o/s, then a lot of stuff still unsure. So trying to find out as much as I can cuz it is like 6-7 days to the actual camp, a bit rush...and also Meiy is busy with her work and esesc stuff. Its really tiring to cope with two impt issues on your hand.

2. NYAA. I am lagging behind. Actually I am almost giving this thing up, but a part of me tells me that it is still possible. Shd I do boccia for the service section? I can go for it, but I can't seem to avoid Jeralyn. Jerry said to heck care, but can I? I am really bad at handling social relationship stuff. Some pple can do certain things easily, but I can't.

3. Grad dinner. Hope everything goes well, currently there is still some time cuz we still have abt three wks or so.

Am trying to meet up with some friends these few weeks. A certain portion of my luggage is still unpacked. And I am still having problems with my sleep, so now I can feel easily tired at abt 7-9pm, and then I can only fall aslp like 5am in the morning.

Waiting for my transcript to reach nus, then I can continue with my mapping....

Hoping to go nearby for a short vacation before sch starts, but then the flu issue is getting serious over here. An increasing rate of 100 cases everyday, moh is gg to come up with some serious advisory soon.....

Its the end of June, half a yr has passed just like tat, and there is not a single song tat can actually hold the top of the charts for more than 2 wks. Perhaps, that phenomenon song hasnt arrived yet....

2 continents, 4 countries, 8 cities, over 35,000 miles....Finally Back!!

Woah, gd weather for me, esp today when I just arrived back home. It is about to rain, so its quite cooling...

Once again, *thumbs up for Singapore Airlines for their great service and food. The last and final flight back home was my own record broken. My first non stop 15 Hours flight to Hongkong was a challenge, slept, eat, watch movies...thats the routine in my little space of mine on the window seat. The last 4 hrs back home was nothing, with the hope of reaching hometown very soon got me perked up.

Stirfried chicken with chilli-black bean sauce, seasonal vegetables and steamed rice

Then, Scrambled egg with chicken sausage, baked beans and potatoes (My Favourite)

Lots to blog about...photos of London and Paris soon...needs rest! MisterLyon is finally feeling tired... yawnz....Its only 5pm now....Jet lag.

French Cuisine

Had dinner with Wang Qi today, since it was my last dinner in Paris.

We were at the restaurant for like 3 hrs, just like what French pple like to do, have their dinner slowly and enjoying it till midnight..

We had lots to catch up, then she mentioned something out of nowhere.....something which made me ponder for a while on my way back, because I told myself not to think abt it anymore.

In London

Currently in Central London, living in Swinton Hotel (nothing to do with Swine Flu btw)...lol

Arrived late last night at Heathrow, it was 9pm and the sky was still so bright, kind of surprised, but it gets dark easily after that....The 12 hrs flight was long but I was very glad to choose my favourite Air Canada for this trip. I love this airline, other than SIA, this is the by far the best airline in terms of in-flight entertainment and service. I love the airline logo too!

The room I am living right now is very small, don't even have space to move freely. But accomodation to me is not very important, cuz I will be out hunting for tourist atttractions most of the time...like right now....

Photos soon!

Multi-Emo

225am now, I am lying not on my bed, but on the sleeping bag. The rented furnitures were returned today, together with the chairs. And I have sold my tables. Now my room is so empty that I can easily hear echoes. Eerie~~

Packed my luggages le, but may exceed by 1 bag. And I realize I have one baggage full of presents!! How did that happen? I didnt realize I bought so much. How many pple actually asked me to help them get branded stuff? I told KL mei just now that if too heavy, I might sacrifice her Sephora! haha, no lar, Uncle 不敢!:p

Hopefully I get past Engineering Professionalism, it wasn't difficult, considering I went through the qns and answered them within 20 mins. I knew abt 20 out of 35. So the rest tikam! Tikam fill in the blanks qns....Like the prof said, if u know it, u know it. If can't get it, dun bother. Quite true, at least for this module, have to memorise the theories! I'll be thrilled with a B.

Today's pre-statistics was a breeze, yippee, one last paper on Thur, Statistics!

My roommate went off without cleaning her room and helping out in the cleaning of the house. So bu zi dong! Inconsiderate pple, haiz, enough of her....
Arms are aching, just finished washing the toilet. Ya, MisterLyon realize that US toilets are more difficult to wash compared to those in Sg...

Tmr engaged carpet cleaning services for the house, required by agent and the tenants have to pay....$135 for whole house, 3 bedroom, 1 living rm, 1 stairs...

Zzzz.....after 2 days of insufficient slp....

Last phase

I went to have my last haircut today in Santa Cruz and it was done by a Vietnamese girl. Went into the salon because there were no one around and I thought this would be a quick one. She knew I wasn't a local and told me she came from Vietnam and is still studying in College. We had a good chat and I told her I would be leaving soon. When asked abt her summer plans, she said she had no money to return home to see her family.

I felt really fortunate. Some people had to leave their hometown and work part time to support her family and studies. This is one kind of person I really admired. I don't think I would choose to go so far away to work next time.

Really missed Singapore and the hot weather..hahaz..

Counting down:

8 days to Exams...
12 days to London...
15 days to Paris....
Less than 20 days to ta-da!

Most important ethic in life: Honesty

I couldn't believe my eyes today.

A week ago, our mid term was given back to us. Out of 100, I scored a low 42 and she had 39. She called n looked for me urgently after class, asking me abt my score and requested to see my scripts. She said she wanted to know which were the questions she had answered wrongly. I was puzzled. I left my script with her and she returned them to me that evening.

Today, I realized that she amended her scripts and resubmitted to the prof. I happened to browse thru her script among the pile of assignments given back to us. Her 39 became 62. It seemed that she erased her wrong answers and wrote the correct ones. It was so obvious! Those questions which she had amended were the ones I got correctly while she didn't during the mid term.

I cannot understand why she did that. I felt really unhappy and sad after the class today. Not because she had a higher score than me. I just can't figure out why she had cheated.

Its a shame to NUS, sighz.... :(

A lot of my friends said she is a very attractive girl, I used to agree with them, but now I am taking it back....

What good is her appearance if she don't possess a clear conscience...

Back soon!

Oh my, I just saw the countdown clock on the right and realized that I have less than 30 days left in the States. Should I be sad or happy? I think both. I dunnoe how much I have learnt and achieved in these past 5 months, but at least I think I am more independent now. Free to do what I want, know what I need to do, think the right way! Thats most impt to me, do things the smart way. Apparently, MisterLyon is a very blur person, hahaz..

There are lots of ups and downs living alone esp in a country that is so far away from home. I agree sometimes, life is pretty tough, but one has to experience it to know how it taste like. I realized that most of my blog posts this yr are abt me travelling around, having fun. Not many entries on the difficulties that I actually faced in this new life of mine. Not that there are none, but I have decided not to publish it out. Sometimes, it is best just to keep it to yourself, at least I believe certain stuff needs to be hidden inside my heart. okie, sound a bit emo liao....

Anyway, Hip Hop class ended yesterday and only 9 students turned up. Perhaps most pple thought there was going to be a test. Hahz, nope, luckily! But there were photos and videos taken during the class. Its is really fun to join a dance class in another country and then start to see the difference in the teaching methods. The instructor, Harold McCord, teaches his own unique style of Tru-School Hip Hop and street dance. And I really had a lot of fun attending his class, though there were like 2 guys including me, and abt 20 girls...hahaz.....Its abt the dance, not the girls!!!

I woke up this morning and received 3 Sch alert SMSes informing me that East campus gate is closed because there was some unidentified object observed in a stormwater drain near the main entrance to campus. The bomb team also arrived! First qn on my mind: Was there a bomb found? Its not surprising because recently, police found explosives in one of the houses near my city. And then there was some state elections this week. Maybe got some pple not happy or wat, wanna start something naughty. After 3 hours, the police announced that it was a geo-cache!

It is actually a piece of tupperware, something like the one in the center of the pic. It must be non-transparent. I dun have the exact pic, the above was taken from wiki, cuz I also dunnoe what exactly is a geo-cache. According to the news, it was determined to be a box associated with a hide and seek, scavenger hunt-type game for GPS users, called Geocaching. In the game, players use a Global Positioning System receiver to hide and seek containers called geocaches. The caches are typically small waterproof containers that have a logbook and "treasure", often toys or trinkets.

Maybe somebody lost one of the cache, maybe it got kicked into the drain...This cache caused the traffic jam to the campus West entrance and my 1hr to reach the sch instead of just 15 mins. Now pple are blaming the police of making such a big hooha over such a small thing. Hmm, but what if it was a real bomb... In Singapore, if u see an opaque box in the drain, would u alert the police? I don't think anyone will bother.

My engine ethics lecturer initially guessed and told the class that the unidentified object could be somebody doing homework on the street....ya, very funnie...ha ha ha...
