Song Recommendation of the Month (3): October 2010
Title: 반지 / Banji (Ring)Artiste: Tiffany (SNSD)
This is one of the tunes on the soundtrack of Haru: An Unforgettable Day in Korea, a web drama that promotes Korean’s tourism (www.haru2010.com). Part 1 of the OST is performed by SuJu with Angel, also an impressive number but I shall be biased towards the girl this time haha. A pretty calm soothing song for the night and it really features the beautiful vocals of Tiffany. A lot of times I personally felt that most SNSD’s songs don’t do their voices justice and they do need solo songs like this to showcase each of their abilities and range. Realized that Taeyeon, Tiffany and Jessica possess very distinct voices. Jessica has a higher pitched voice, compared to Taeyeon but Tiff has the most pleasant voice to listen too. Just one thing, hmm, she needs to work on her voice control and range. Nevertheless, they still have the lovely vocals in their own ways.
Btw, I give this song 3.9 out of 5 leaves....

Saw something today that I didn't want to see.
Something which I was already used to it, but then it seems different today.
Maybe because I was physically around, hence I tend to feel a little uneasy.
But I had already told myself to get over it,
so...its just me, my problem.
Just ranting....
Felt so lost in the ocean,
searching for a small island which my feel will stand firm again.
Frustrated.
Afraid of receiving those 'Thanks" again.
Just needed that precious 5 mins.
But I can never get it and worst still, I never get to figure out why.
Something which I was already used to it, but then it seems different today.
Maybe because I was physically around, hence I tend to feel a little uneasy.

so...its just me, my problem.

Oct month
Its pretty late and I am just getting the music list ready for next wk.
Shall rehearse a bit for recital later before snoozing.
Today I did something at boccia which I never did before and am really contented at the amt of effort that I put in :) Plus, I got to know more abt Tess and MZ which is good because they have really practical work experience and advice for me.
This month is full of birthdays, esp for those I know. 13-15-17-19. Every 2 consecutive days, I know of a person who is celebrating his/her birthday. Amazing.
CJ is on OMG, so all the dance instructors will be the challenger next wed. Korean hiphop.
They need people to vote! and people to go and fill up the seats haha.
My this new pair of transitional specs has a pretty short lifespan. I predict its gonna die soon :(
I can't even take good care of my specs. Shall not spend too much on this next time.
Lesson learnt!
On a side note, have been feeling rather empty these 2 days. There is an issue stucked on my mind, yet I can't solve it and can't ask my friends for help. Sometimes its frustrating to be caught in a tricky situation. The best way is to sit down and think deep, weigh the pros and cons before deciding the next step. Whatever the decision is, there should never be a time to regret.

Attended the NTU Music Express Finals 《飞跃时空》 on 12 Sep. It ended really late but I left the auditorium at 10 after voting for this song which I thought was a tune that could reflect what many of us are thinking in a certain part of our life. It’s actually a sad ballad, depicting a very beautiful scenery when we are enjoying our best time of our life with our friends or loved ones. But when you are alone, you feel that you are living in a dark world even though it’s beautiful out there.
The song composer is a local and the lyricist is from Taiwan. Its funnie because they discuss everything over MSN and put the whole song together. Incredible! Recommending the winning song (out of 10) in the competition….I personally think this is the best lyrics I have heard for many years.

Night's still young
Its abt 4am, I have been tosing on my bed for 1 hr already. Totally gave up!
and 1 hr ago, I told KL to drink some milk to enter la la land earlier.
I did the same thing too, but I am still awake.
Mixed feelings, it seems a couple of things are bugging me and its pretty serious.
Currently blogging in the dark. (Scared my parents will check on me lol)
Have you ever asked yourself...
When was the last time u were truly happy?
Surprisingly, I can't answer this for myself, mainly because this year hasnt been running well and its now down to 3 months left. "Truly happy" is totally different from "happy". "Happy" to me is just a facial expression you display to others. Nobody, except you, really knows what your thoughts are. You can be happy for things that happened, for good deeds that you have done for your loved ones/friends, but deep under, are you really having the similar feeling?
I have a sense of satisfaction when I go the extra mile for others and I really appreciate that my sincere thoughts are being reciprocated. Just like preparing extra worksheet practices for tutees, buying a small simple bday gift for a physically disabled friend that you just knew recently, helping with the housework chores....all these are small events in my life that sometimes could be unimportant to you, but the satisfaction generated can do so much as displaying a smile on my face.
Sometimes I know I am doing things that do not make me happy, yet I still persist on.
Its that thing in your mind that keeps you going even tho your contribution is going to be meaningless and you wun get anything good out of it.
Oh wells, its no wonder some people are saying that sometimes I am really stupid.
Feeling a bit better now...
Tmrw is going to be another busy day but I am used to it.
........because I cannot fall at this moment, if not I will regret for life.
Realized that time passes really fast these few days and I just can't seem to get work done.
Is my clock working well????

Just when I thought there isn’t any love ballad that could represent 2010…..it finally came!
A song all about appreciating the uniqueness in one's love interest and not expecting or wanting to see any changes. Accepting everything about the girl u adore, forgetting all her weaknesses, just thinking about the way she makes u happy, how you are satisfied with her, just the way she is. This super-sweet and innocent single may be filled with some cheese but the overall polish is pretty remarkable. Oh well, this song does not even have to be about relationships, it could even be about family or friends. A simple message that this song is trying to convey: Be natural. Sometimes its simplicity that makes your other half love you even more. Don’t change yourself for others, they should accept you for the person you are.
Nice vocals from Bruno Mars, whose album was just released and I am like addicted to it right now haha. It was money well spent! I think if you are into love ballads or some country flavour, make this your early Christmas gift to yourself. He has a super-smooth voice and his pipes show through in this songs as well, complimenting the flowing musical beats. The end results are tunes you can't help but sing along to.

Life goes on
Having a test later. *Nervous and excited* But no matter what happens, it is all for a reason. I am taking it easy this year. Consequences are not always negative and it is best if we always look on the bright sunny side. In life, sometimes we tend to be on the practical side, hence we tend to overlook some of the important details.
Just signed up for passion walk at the end of this month. Looks like I finally have a chance to land myself at the floating platform this time. Hopefully the weather is cooling enough at night. I am starting off with a little walk, progressing to marathon run probably in the near future. Looking forward to receiving the goodie bag!
6 more weeks to Recital and its because of this that I am still around. One of my dreams to be on the stage and performing for people! Its gonna be tough training and will be taking up the upcoming sundays but I am all for it. oh, and I just realized my teacher jojo is 5 years younger than me, and she won a car in a kpop dance competition when she was 18. Impressed!
Looked very tired recently, probably due to the increased freq in tuition sessions. I am trying to make myself happy while teaching, but sometimes its just too frustrating to know that your personal efforts usually go down the drains. Nevertheless, what I do is get a long term result. Hopefully everything will fall onto the right places.

LOL, the muttons just released their own cd! Called The Muttons Show: What The Bleah!, the album is a compilation of modern hits, and some wacky repartee by the two DJs in between. It is probably the only radio show that I am listening to nowades, 4 - 8pm, weekdays, 987fm.
Found an all-time funny phone conversation they had with a auntie buffet caterer, also part of the album.
