Save me

Spent a moody weekend, worse one ever…worried, frustrated = (

No mood to even start on sch assignments, basically just wasted the past 2 days, I just can’t do it…

Sometimes I do miss those times in NS, where I just concentrate on my work, nothing else to worry, no one to care for….

Hope it gets better in time…

人生

你要勇敢,坚强耐心地等待,一定没事的!

人生起起落落,许多次的挫败乃是正常的交替回应。。。

Pampering myself

“Apple iPod” is finally off my wish list! Hah…It feels so good to be able to pamper oneself once in a while. Have been hunting for the best lowest price these few weeks at Sim Lim Sq and decided to purchase it last Sat at $3**. Bought an additional remote which was found to be faulty and had to change for something else which I haven’t decided. Spent my whole Sun sourcing for a radio remote and the hunt eventually ended at Wheelock AppleShop. I realized I have been spending a huge sum of $ on music. Actually it is one of those few things that I would be willing to part with my money. Gee….I wanna learn piano soon and I am not bluffing lor...

Hope everything goes well for her tonight... :)

Song Recommendation of the Week:
Chris Brown – With You

One of the most potential and romantic tracks on his second studio album “Exclusive”. After he topped the pop charts with his dance floor filling debut "Run It", he has not yet released a top-notch romantic performance until now. This number kicks off with strumming guitar as he pours out his heart with romantic passion. An amazingly talented dancer who can truly communicate to an audience vocally. This song is great wedding and prom song, likely to be in the top 10 annual songs for this year….

Btw, I give this song 4.0 out of 5 星星s....

忙忙忙!

Really busy these days, no time to blog, no time to sleep, no time to go out….Every morning I wake up, I will be reminded of those assignments, lab reports that I have not done. Actually, I don’t really sleep a lot and sleeping to me is just a waste of time. Yup, that’s what I always think. =D..I know people will think that I am siow, crazy ……I know it is very unhealthy to just sleep less than 5 hrs everyday, have been hearing reports abt the risk of heart diseases due to lack of rest, kinda scared. But if a person is diagnosed with a disease, it is just his destiny. We can’t control our fate, can we? So just take things easy everyday, it’s okay to joke, play around, just don’t go overboard….

Attended an internship interview with yefeng last sat at International Scientific. The boss was friendly and amicable. Probably our mistake was not to choose his company as first (It was our third choice). A bit tongue-tied when we were asked to explain why we did that. Maybe he thinks we are not sincere and enthu enough. Haven’t heard anything from the Career Centre, so I guess 没希望 le…Am going to try NEA, dun wanna depend on sch already. Sadly to say, Chem eng students would always have a upper hand when it comes to internship in a chem. industry, cuz what we can do, they can do too. Unless we wanna do civil eng work, then it is different….But dun expect Mister Lyon doing that…he wun one…

Last sat was also 张信哲's concert. Nope I didn’t go, though I have always wanted to see him in person. Can’t really spend money on concert anymore, I have spent enough, got to save money. Just hope hols will come soon so that I can start earning money….

Jiayou Mister Lyon!

Was intending to take a rest tonight and forget abt the lab reports and assignments for a while. I actually spent my whole sat churning out 2401 report, but seriously, it is easier than 2164 which I am still directionless…..I need to read up more on reinforced concrete, this mod just gets tougher and tougher. Lecturer is okay, kept on ensuring his student “Don’t worry, don’t worry!”. Yup, wait till the quiz is here. Two 2164 quizzes scheduled and the date of the first one is not even announced yet. Already week 8 le. Maybe it is just me, my attitude towards civil modules. Other than infrastructure and uncertainty, I just can’t seem the love the rest. Maybe I should learn how to love them…….

Had a “fruitful” sat. It didn’t turn up well as the event was so unexpected. Went to christine’s house to get some stuff and was stuck at the voideck cuz my car suddenly couldn’t start up. Panic! Started to call for help. Then the serviceman took his own sweet time to come and change the battery. In the end, I wasted an hr and a half just waiting for him to arrive. Anyway, hiccups like this really gave me an opportunity to learn more abt the different parts of the car and how they function. Now I know how to check the battery le….lolz….

Wanna take this opportunity to apologize to meiling, didn’t feel good to misplace her tutorial notes. Sometimes I wonder what’s happening to me this year, first is faiqah’s ext cord, then my thumbdrive, now is meiling’s notes…..Now is only March, I am just afraid of what’s coming up in the future…..*scared

Song Recommendation of the Week:
Jason Mraz – I’m Yours

The intro of this song would make u think that it is a Jack Johnson tune, I thought so, but nope, this is beautifully done by the Geek in the pink, American singer-song writer, Jason Mraz. Most people would know him from his very first hit single “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)”. Sadly, his previous “Mr A-Z” album didn’t do that well and now he is back with a brand new album “We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things” set to release in May this year. This first single features the variations of Jason’s voice and I admit I really love the rhythm. Amazing song, the words are like poetry and his voice makes the words just float in the air.

Learn from the lyrics, do not hesitate, go for it! This song really describes my mood man...

Sch reopens....

Attended harmonica concert with qt on sat. Decided to ask her out since I haven been hanging out with her often ever since I entered uni, and she going to graduate really soon. The splendid performance brought back beautiful memories. Still remembered those days when we performed during syf, hehe, the thought of it just makes me feel old. Then went for haagen ice cream at Holland V but were disappointed that the waffle went out of stock (we were told 15 mins after we made our order). So funny cuz qt was really hungry. I know she was abt to strangle the waiter. lol….

Actually I have always wished to see my own classmates perform. Wangqi was part of the ensemble too, probably her last performance in sch before she leaves for France next sem for 2 years. Really amazing how this friend can cope with so many ccas and still maintain her grade.

Recently, I just realized actually a handful of my current classmates have love problems. Maybe I am that kind of person whom people like to confide in. Or maybe I am good in keeping secrets. I can’t imagine I actually chatted with one of them yesterday night till 3am, talking abt bgr stuff.

It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. This is so true……

Song Recommendation of the Week:
Simple Plan – When I’m Gone

These guys are experimenting with a dancier sound this time round. But I guess they are sticking to pretty familiar territory on this third studio album, which maybe explains the unclever self-title “Simple Plan”. Perhaps the plan for this one is really that simple. lol…okie, this single proves that they are always ready to try on new stuff, thinking outside the box when it comes to their own music. This 1st single adds a bit of funky electronic loops to classic rock guitars, crackled with edgy, funky energy and a huge poppy chorus. Produced by Dave Fortman of Evanescence and Timbaland….shiok!

Leap day!

Today is Feb 29, a date that occurs only every four years. For those who are born on this day, Happy Birthday! It’s been a long wait. According to some known sources, this is the only one day that a woman can propose to her partner. This isn’t practiced in Singapore though, only in Ireland and UK….The norm is still the norm…

Mid term break ending really soon, lab reports, projects, assignments, they are just piling up. And I tend to get easily tired these days. Lots of people are studying, I can tell, just by stepping into Central Lib and YIH study area. Good for them but bad for me, haha, cuz I am stuck with my 2164 lab report, no directions whatsoever. I think I gonna stop and just move on with other stuff. 5 mid terms, 1 has passed (I think I did okay, a consolation, but must still wait for result to be released). Recently, I have been seeing my 2183 tutor for consultation, though I disturbed him quite a few times, but he is really a nice guy la. I really wish all my tutors are like that.

I think I am having too much fun, slacking, going on friendster, chatting on MSN till 2am. Everyday is passing by so quickly. Did up a schedule for this recess, but didn’t follow closely. Hehe…anyway, was invited by Lawrence for a dinner party on wed. Turnout was pretty good, thumbs up for the food, cooked by his mum who looked to be in her 40s, but she is actually in her 60s, shhh…..lol. Left early anyway, cuz I do not know a lot of ChESS people also, some I knew didn’t up, only a handful.

Went to watch Kungfu Dunk with her at vivo this evening, had planned to catch it two wks ago but encountered some small hiccups. Won a pair of GV movie passes on cny eve, had to put them to “good use” anyway. Actually wanted to catch Leap Years but the good seats are alr gone. Singaporeans are really fast, but what’s more memorable than catching this movie on the day itself. Anyway, the brownies with vanilla ice cream at harbourfront breeks are really delicious, next time I would definitely order again...

Had a little chat on msn with shuling this morning, was pondering on what she had mentioned, maybe it is time to start to reach for goals....

Everybody should.......it is just part and parcel of life....though there would be obstacles waiting for us to overcome...

Song Recommendation of the Week:
Melee – Can’t Hold On

Hmm, how do u pronounce the name of this band? No, not “Me-Lee”, not “Mei-Li”. It Is actually pronounced as “Me-Lei”. Coming all the way from California, this 4-member pop band has been around since 2004. Recently, they made a comeback with this new album “Devils and Angels” and the #1 hit “Built To Last”. Since then, people have been wondering if Melee is one of those one-hit wonder band. Well, not until they hear this follow-up single “Can’t Hold On”. The tune sounds a bit like Red Jumpsuit Apparatus “Your Guardian Angel”, where it gets louder and louder towards the end of the song. This is a pretty emotional ballet. Hold back your tears as memories of the past flow through your mind. This song is going to be big….trust me..

If your friend is feeling down, dedicate this song to him/her…..

[Chorus]
But if you can't hold on
Let it go and come back in your heart
And if you can't hold on
Maybe it's not time for you
And if you can't hold on
On your very last try
I'll be there in the morning to pull you through

Btw, I give this song 4.5 out of 5 星星s....
