鼠年行好运
Happy Chinese New Year everyone! 恭喜发财!
The year of rat is a good year for those ox-es like me, in terms of wealth, love and career. But it seems like every year is the same. Sometimes I wonder if it is really true, not that I totally don’t believe in horoscope. Anyway, was really ‘high’ (not that shake head kind) on new years’ eve counting down, so much so that I actually develop a slight fever on 初一, but still continue to bai nian, lol, cuz normally the ‘harvest’ is the greatest on the first day. No lar, I am not those greedy kind, just that I would feel a bit rude if I didn’t visit my close relatives that day. Steamboat was nice, I love the wanton shrimp my ah ma made. Sianz, have to control my diet these few days le, those pineapple tarts, bak kwa, love letters, lots of goodies waiting for me leh….Arggg.....
On the bright side, Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Go ahead and feel the love in the air……

Careless Me
Recently I have been really careless, first I lost a receipt file for Zusammen, then somehow Faiqah's extension cord didn't return to ChESS Room. The loss of that file almost made me cry on sat night, a few hundreds spent and I needa claim. I dunoe y I volunteered to be i/c of financial in the first place. Abt that ext cord, I am still searching, dun feel nice to take yongkai's to give back to faiqah. Now doing up the post event report. Hopefully it can be done b4 New Year.
Just read kailuen mei's blog abt guys and gals and how they shd treat the other half. Suddenly felt a lil emo, but I kind of agree what she commented abt guys. Yup, we should always take the initiative. I would be a bit afraid if it is the other way. Girls always like surprises, they are always eager for their loved ones to start asking them out. They would keep quiet first, wait a while, if need be, start hinting. Most guys kno, but there are a handful who are a bit insentitive and this is when conflicts start appearing, with girls accusing the guys of not caring for them. lol, that is what I often see on TV leh. But seriously, if u want a relationship to work well and last forever, both parties have to do their part. Don't expect what he/she can do for u, but just do what u think u can do for him/her. It's the thought and sincerity that matter and this is when both parties would feel the sweetness. =)

Zusammen a sucess | New Year coming !
The year of pig is departing us very soon. Time really flies, so fast that I dun even have the time to do spring cleaning this year. But I did manage to tidy up my room yesterday, threw away lots of stuff, things which I treasure a lot in the past but just seem meaningless to keep them now. They just dun appeal to me this time round. Haha, as the saying goes, 旧的不去, 新的不来, if the old doesn’t go, where got space for the new ones to come? Some things don’t go though, good memories, happy moments, I just can’t afford to lose them….
Zusammen was held on sat, wanna say a word of thanks to those who sms-ed me the day before, though my phone batt went flat on Fri night. Guys, it was a success, 谢了! Weather was perfect on sat morning until it started to drizzle during lunch. The 11 teams were sporty and all were going for the top prize, though it was only 100 bucks. But overall, I must say the response was really good this year, all thanks to the publicity and the seniors who encourage their classmates to participate. The whole welfare comm were working really hard to make this major project a successful one…..Planning was done early, everything was under control……Also had a fun time working with pinyun ever since the Dec hols when we started planning. I must say this girl can really go far in future….
Mister Lyon seldom complain and he is not those kind of guys who would easily get pissed off. Indeed, many pple were happy that Zusammen was a success, seriously, I wasn’t. Almost lost my cool at some point in the day, but in the end, I didn’t. Sometimes it takes just a few hours to see the true characters that my classmates / teammates portray. I am not going to mention any names cuz I just wanna use this space to vent out my frustrations b4 enjoying new year. Apparantly, some people just cannot appreciate what others have done for them. Programme list was sent to all a few days before the event, nobody commented on anything, so I assume everything is in order. Then the game fixtures were suddenly altered without any reason by a higher position exco member. Such a last min decision, doesn’t he know that there is a lot of things to be done just by changing the fixtures. We have to go inform the 11 teams and the helpers on the actual day. And I can’t imagine my own teammate telling me that she never print the programme list since she doesn’t expect wet weather that day. Come on, u are in charge of wet weather, how can u take chances? Lucky it didn’t rain heavily that day, the rain stopped when we were abt to start the 2nd half of Zusammen. But at least, I do expect my own teammate to respect my work and start taking initiative to do things on her own, dun rely on me just because I am nice. I do not have the qualities of a ‘Nice Guy’ yet, I do have my own flaws. I try to always help my friends, but if people do not care abt what I have done, there is no point being the nice guy anymore. Ok, enuf complaining abt Zusammen people. Now I really wanna say something abt this classmate of mine. Yes, EVE classmate, in fact, I still remember Meiy did post something abt her a year ago. I am referring to that same person, if Meiy still rem. Recently, this classmate of mine approached me and I lent her one of my Textbks to do some photocopying. It is a new book but I really dun mind lending her. But what I cannot accept is that she actually left the book in the care of another person and she never inform me at all. All the while, I thought she had already started to do the photocopying since I told her I wanted the book back b4 New Year. I am not angry with her for lending the book to another person (also a gd friend of mine), I am just annoyed that she did not even let me know until I asked her. She just smiled and didn’t say anything. That Zusammen afternoon, I didn’t speak to her at all. To many, this may be a trivial issue, u can say I am petty, like to blow things up, but I guess everyone of us demand a certain level of respect from our peers.
Now I feel better, am going to leave those unhappy memories behind and cross over to the new year. At least today I can still joke and smile during lectures. Mister Lyon is like that one, even though he feels moody and frustrated, he always tries to hide it…….

Updating in progress...
Alright, time for updates, lots to mention…
Just ended one of my ese2001 labs. Was a little surprise about the last min arrangement and grouping, so ended up having 8 people doing one expt. Lab assistant was friendly but a bit long winded, lucky I sat at the back…:p Hmm, she mentioned that lab report is going to be a group work which I am kind of unhappy about. Can’t really learn much if each of us just finish up our own part and combine everything. Anyway, lab was very slack, didn’t had the chance to even touch the high tech equipments.
Still considering whether to apply for UROP. Wastewater proj seems interesting and I can work with my mentor, get to know him more. Will meet up with him soon…Wanna do something special this Sem since I am only taking 5 mods….
Met up with quanfu on Sat at Expo, went for the John Little Sale. Surprisingly, not many people were around, probably becuz there wasn’t much to shop around. Lolz, didn’t buy anything in the end, so decided to hang out at Coffee Bean…White Choc latte is really nice! Anyway, had a heart-to-heart talk with this buddy of mine about our own love life. Seems that we happen to fall for the same type of gal….I kept hinting him to ask RJ out during V day until he a bit irritated le….haha…Jiayou bro!
Lots of assignments to catch up…lab reports…projects…Arggg …things are beginning to heat up….

周式R&B情歌还是比较让人印象深刻的, 尤其是专辑里的《我不配》很煽情，晚上自己一个人听特别有感觉。在K的程度之内, 也是水准与预料之内的。我觉得歌迷可以很快抓到演唱的技巧，马上进入KTV大练特练。说难不难，说容易不容易。歌曲叙述了演艺人员的不自由和无奈，也隐约地批评媒体积极到过分的跟拍方式。我总觉得整首歌有点悲伤的味道, 正好配合现在的心情。遗憾的， 他没有在演唱会展现这首歌。

周杰伦2008世界巡回演唱会
一月十九日
激动，兴奋， 紧张。。。非常期待这场万众瞩目的演出， 果然没让我失望，$128 的门票是值得的。 第一次踏入新加坡室内体育馆， 真的让我大跌眼镜。雷射灯、音响及灯光设备仪器非常齐全，看见人群从四面八方涌过来，仿佛在室内看国庆。 哈，这次终于让我有个机会目睹新加坡"粉丝"的热情，杰伦在现场总是唱出不一样的感觉，有时候我真的不得不佩服他。南拳妈妈也来助阵，首次看到 Lara， 一向来都很欣赏她的嗓子，可惜昨晚没和唱<珊瑚海>。 杰伦的外婆也来了， 跳了支舞， 当然不是 Hiphop 啦，我可不希望有什么悲剧的诞生。
< 黄金甲, 牛仔很忙，彩虹, 阳光宅男, 甜甜的, 最长的电影, 夜的第七章, 听妈妈的话, 千里之外, 退后, 夜曲, 发如雪, 一路向北, 双截棍, 开不了口, 不能说的秘密, 霍元甲…>
短短的 2hr 45 mins， 他就演唱这么多首琅琅上口的好歌， 也无法列出每一首。每次在电视看见"粉丝"举起荧光棒，我好想也试一试，好好感受一下演唱会气氛, 大胆地疯狂疯狂一下。还记得当他演唱<牛仔很忙>时，大家都站了起来， 和他一起大声地唱 : " 不要麻烦了， 不要麻烦了。。。我超喜欢<霍元甲> 的演出，尤其当歌曲到了附歌， 我就不知不觉地喊 “霍霍霍霍霍霍霍霍!” 。。 有点疯了似。。。
哈! Mister Lyon 也有好玩的一面，不管了，反正大家都那么 high ， 就筹一筹热闹。Who cares!
美好的时光真的过的很快，我要好好的珍惜，把它和她永远记下来。。。

The cycle...
I finally bought the long sleeve shirt that I wanted, though a bit ex, but I like it very much! Yay!
Sch started...a bit slack this wk... Printing notes, going lectures, travelling to different fac, I think I am alreadi used to it. Didnt start my first day of school well. Was caught in a traffic jam for 45 mins, was supposed to meet the 'buyer' of my statics text at 9, reached at 945. Chose a gem, decided to drop it after sitting in the 1st lec today. A bit undecisive, that's just me, sometimes I just dunnoe wat to do with myself. Can't get my direction right. Anyway, now everything has been settled.....
2 days, attended some of the core mod lectures. Not surprising, Prof Wee is again teaching Struc design... hah, my fav lecturer last Sem, and I rem writing something for him during the teaching assessment. Nice and funny guy....just the right person for this mod. Infrastructure and cashflow stuff is essential for construction management. Hmm..somehow I think I chose the right mods last Sem. I hope they help....

Goodbye Holidays, Hello Sem 4
Its hard to believe but yea, hols are over, no more, bou liao (hokkien)...Time to go back and mug, guess the first few weeks should be able to cope. Admin stuff, bidding, balloting....all coming my way. Hope that I can get what I want. Just uploaded a few photos in facebook, didn't know it was that easy until now. Okay, I am stupid...lol...Going to try bidding for gek1505 in round 3 using 1 pt. No harm dropping it if it doesn't suit me. Don't feel like taking 6 mods again, its time to take a rest and spend the time thinking of how to raise my CAP. Christ and I used to complain to each other abt how busi we were during the previous Sem, coping with uncertainty assignment and projects. I got to admit, the workload last Sem was indeed heavy and really hope that history wun repeat itself again. Haha, as I told Matt, life is not always a smooth journey. Hiccups and conflicts appear to spice up your life. It depends on how effective you are in solving it. Choose the correct way and you will go far......
