Its Mid August!

Had a fruitful Friday!
Met up with Jerry, like after so long haha, it was a chance for him to unwind from the exam preparation, so I suggested an impromptu outing. Watched PCK movie at Ehub! 6 bucks for student! Just that it doesnt come with popcorn unlike with passion card, but who cares, we had kfc lunch anyway lol. Initially the plan was to head to ubin after the show but due to the rain, we decided to hang ard changi village and we ate again. Then we discussed abt his little 'proposal' for this coming friday haha. Shall not reveal too much first but it could be highly successful. I suggested that he do up a jigsaw puzzle and frame it, so we decided to hunt for a Melo puzzle at PS, but the shop didnt have. So he settled for a Hello Kitty design. Ate burger king (my 3rd meal in 6 hrs) before heading home. It was a 204 pieces, cost ard 10 bucks. Guess wat! The pieces are so tiny mini small! and to my horror, he was colour blind. It was a tough job, and I felt really bad for suggesting this idea. Sat I went to his house again after receiving an SOS call from him, claiming that the puzzle was too big for the frame. So hmm...Dr. Lyon (in the middle of his afternoon nap) went over to examine and investigate muhahaha, because I was pretty sure that the shop owner is able to choose the correct frame. But in the end, we managed to places all the pieces tgt into the frame with no missing pieces. Pretty impressive job by him and I hope his sincerity can win him the 'award' he wants!

ESESC third exco out!!
I have no doubt or issues abt Siew Noi's capability in leading the committee and in fact, I was elated when I heard the news. Just hope that she is able to balance her time well between esesc and fyp. Its going to be tiring and the pressure is definitely on. Nevertheless, I have confidence in her leadership and I must say she really did a great job for welfare :)
and Yuting as vice-chair would definitely be a great support to Noi. She is always enthusiastic in esesc activitites and has been Daniel's right hand man for ER all these while. Now is time for her to take up a higher post with higher level of responsibilties. The interview for directors' post will be held tue onwards. Maybe I shd drop by one evening and take a look. haha, I felt really lazy to go to campus nowadays. Must force my lazy bones to work harder.

and I am not done with my notes. Just finished Linear Law. Have to prepare 'Circles and curves' later.

Am a bit puzzled abt Super Junior's upcoming concert which could be in January 2011.
Why so late??? I wonder why...but I think I shd be attending.
First Kpop concert in my life. or if Avril were to drop by this year end, I would change my mind.
HAHA!

After seeing KL's blog, I think I shd also do the same by uploading my Sydney photos here.
I have been wanting to sort them out nicely but kept on forgetting.
Misterlyon is really a procrastinator lol.
Shall do it soon, since I didnt even upload those photos in fb.

Today I was quite pissed off for a simple reason.
Didnt had a good lunch after going all the way to hougang just to dapao the fried rice.

Respect

Some random thoughts from today's Boccia session...

Respect people so that they respect you.
This has always been one of misterlyon's principles in life.
Over the years, I have discovered the biggest satisfaction of helping those in need, as well as organising events that bring happiness to them.
We, as volunteers, have seemed to be playing a useful role in their learning curve, but can we be classed as friends in the true sense of the word. Do we fulfill the same functions as 'real' friends? As far as the concept of warmth is concerned, I felt that all the players spoke with feeling about their volunteer. If they did not articulate their emotions as such, then certainly their smiles and body language said as much.

And what about ‘a sense of belonging and expectancy of continuity’? How exactly do we diffentiate that?

Happy 45th Birthday

3 pieces of shocking news:

1) I lost my pencil case. It might be still at the Sci Library, so am gonna check it out.
2) I realized I kept a lot of fire sparklers. Its really a lot a lot! No use yet hehe
3) I found myself suddenly at the crossroad junction again. Afraid to accept what's going to happen.

Love Changi Beach the most, even tho there isnt any thing much to admire except the planes that fly above you. But it was the first beach I saw on my way back from the States. It's the feeling that you are home! Have been going there for the past few weekends. Just by standing there looking at the big sea, somehow everything seems to be clearer.

Hello August, Bye July

Today during boccia we were just recaping on the countries that they have been to for the past 6-7 yrs. Was rather curious to know since I joined like only 3 yrs ago. Seems pretty much focused on the asia region and they are asking me to go to the freezing cold guangzhou with them this dec. Shall think abt it. And the suagu me was wondering the whole morning where Portugal was, so went to google and realized it is located just below France! haha, hmm... never been to that region yet, BUT I was ONCE pretty close to Portugal, ermm....just 35,000 ft above it :P

Been watching youtube, I knew the results anyway, so just focusing and watching their tactics.
Was surprised that previous Governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich (whichever way u pronounce, I can't!) doesnt know how to use a computer!!! Shocking? Or Trump is faking the whole thingy just to boost ratings? I dunno, maybe Governor has a whole bunch of people working for him and he doesnt even have to do a single thing on his own, maybe except signing a few documents and making a few decisions.
In fact, I realized I am that kind of person who would prefer reality and horror shows rather than those drama sequels. AND talk abt that, Amazing race 17 coming this September...YESH! Very curious abt the race route this time.

My laptop is not even 1 year old and already has some graphic distortion issues. I just took a short video when the prob just occured. I hope they dun realize I took that video while lying on the bed haha. I sent in last week for them to check and they told me everything was fine. Guess its time to make a trip there again. The people at HP are nice people anyway, was surprised that they give out complimentary parking coupons after your consultation with them. cool =)

Oh, guess wat! Its August!! not that I am excited abt ndp. Life just goes on...

so...Mum hasnt been feeling well lately and I am quite worried :( Its an eye problem. Apparantly, she took some medicine that resulted in some side effects. Now she has to use a magnifying glass to read her i-weekly. Glad she went to check on the condition, and they are in the process of some blood test. Just afraid that she would save on this kind of money. But health more impt, hopefully everything turns out well.

As for KL, I hope she feel better as the days go by. Saddened by the bad news she told me. Uncle can't be there to advise her on medical issues, but he is always around for her. So cheer up girl! You still have a long journey to go and you are not alone k! Like I always told her, hao ren you hao bao. Just that the 'hao bao' is still on the way, but its coming :)

Went to research on HOT yoga, nope, not that I am interested haha. But deph told me this is practised in 41 deg in a room! Okie, I am assuming the windows are shut and I really hope that their mats can absorb the sweat lolx. Okie, I am really suagu at yoga. Don't luff at me :P
