Arizona: Grand Canyon Tour

2nd day in Vegas was spent in Arizona cuz we had booked a tour to Grand Canyon. I havnt been to Great Wall of China, so this is considered the first of 7 Wonders of the World that I visited. I wouldnt say I am very afraid of height, but after the tour, the level of fear seemed to have been reduced. It was obviously damn cold at the top of the canyon, the wind was blowing, there wasn't an indoor cafe for lunch, we had to eat in the wind. Worse lunch ever!

But but but....the skywalk was pretty fun and exciting! MisterLyon blur sotong king, didnt know that the floor was made of glass, I thot it was just a normal U-shaped pathway so that u can see the canyon better.....When I reach there, I was like....eh, u sure that glass wun break ah...lol...There wasnt any way to go back, so haha...just walk without looking down....after a while, xi guan le, but still dun dare to run around the skywalk....

Tour Bus

First stop was the Hoover Dam.
It was once the world's largest electric-power generating station.

This is the 'eagle point' at the top of the canyon. Doesn't the shape look like an eagle spreading its wings?

Sua Gu MisterLyon found some snow, was so excited abt it since his city doesnt have any...

Scary Skywalk

Las Vegas Trip

What a way to celebrate Valentine's Day! During that very weekend, 6 of us flew to the city of Las Vegas. I knew it was the biggest Gambling Den in the world! I didn't gamble much in the end, was too tired to do so. Anyway, tried the jackpot for 10 to 20 bucks, won a little but lost everything in the end. Its all abt luck, I rather play Dai Dee :p

At McCarran Airport Even the airport has jackpot machines! Well, its Vegas...

See that slim and tall building in the center? It's the Stratosphere Tower Hotel, the one we are staying!!

We went up to the top (108 storeys high) and was welcomed by the magnificent night view.

Those people above us are sitting on the X-Scream - one of the thrills that was being offered. A giant teeter-totter that propels u 27 feet over the edge of the tower, in other words, 866 feet above ground! -_-'''

We went to downtown, gosh, it seems that electricity is free in this city. Everywhere is lighted up, totally opposite to the darkness which I am livin in now...

They have musical screening at every hour. Their ceiling is the big screen....But u can't really keep looking up, otherwise, u probably can't bend ur head back...

We walked along the crowded streets, in fact we walked till 2am then went straight to airport to catch some slp, didnt stay in hotel cuz we have 6am flight to catch back home...

I love Vegas! Might be gg again in June, will see then...

Title: Circus

Artiste: Britney Spears

Album: Circus

"All eyes on me in the centre of a ring, just like a circus," sings Miss Britney, the girl who has started her North America Tour…. This is certainly true for the world’s biggest pop princess, as she brings out the second single, Circus, from her hit album of the same name. This single is actually quite similar to previous single ‘Piece of Me’, from her Blackout album. It seems to reflect her life at the moment, in the middle of a paparazzi circus. After all the notorious bad news that happened to her, I think she is back! Slowly, but steady… back to her best. An electronic R&B tune that will have you running to the dance floor the minute this song begins. Up-tempo beats, tgt with a chorus that has Timberland’s thump to it….

Btw, I give this song 4.5 out of 5 leaves....

Chinatown CNY Parade

Went out with the same SEP gang last Saturday to the San Francisco Chinatown CNY Parade organised by the school. I have never seen any overseas parade before, so I thot it would be an eye-opening experience. My 2nd trip to this big city, so I decided to hang around the Chinatown area for most of the time. The overwhelming crowd brings back lots of memory cuz I used to visit Smith Street every yr, one of the busiest roads in Singapore Chinatown during the festive season.

Then we went to dim sum restaurant to have lunch, it was so crowded that we have to stand and wait for the next available table. Nevertheless, it was a worth waiting cuz the food was really delicious and we don't have much of these in Santa Cruz anyway...

Pork Rib Rice

My favourite Siew Mai & 纸包鸡

Full and satisfied!

At about 530pm, we started to 'chop' a place at the parade area so that we can have a great view. Was quite disappointed with the parade, somehow the CNY mood is different here. Got a video below....Singapore Chingay better ba...

Title: Mad
Artiste: Ne-Yo
Album: Year Of The Gentleman

Is this his route to RnB superstardom? This dude is so in demand right at the moment, in fact, I think he has found a way to distinguish himself from the pack by offering something different this time round. This is the 3rd single released from his 3rd album and I just love the way he can write music which everybody can relate to. One of his best sentimental introspective midtempo ballads I believe. The teary piano tinkles in the background throughout the song together with his high-hat rhythm, contrasting the lyrics about him wanting to make up with his girlfriend. The main theme of this song: Arguments are not worthwhile in the long run.

Btw, I give this song 4.5 out of 5 leaves....
