Song Recommendation: October 2009

Whee…..The PARTY song for Summer 2009!!

This is the phenomenon year for them as the Peas set a new U.S. pop chart record with the longest successive No. 1 streak on the Billboard Hot 100. "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling" spent an incredible combined 26 weeks at No. 1. An awesome start for their new album ‘The E.N.D’, aka The Energy Never Dies.

A feel-good song. It has an abrupt change in musical style from the electro of “Boom Boom Pow”, but this is their trademark, Musical Eclecticism! Havn’t heard from the Peas for a few years, thought they were breaking up when Fergie and Will.I.Am released their own production. Luckily nope…they don’t seem to do very well when they venture out alone anyway.

Overall, a song to listen to
- when u drive to a party
- after a long day or week at work
- destress, yesh :D
- When you are about to lose your cool

This is the only song that peaked on the Sg chart for 3 consecutive weeks this year. Big question….Could this be the song of the year? ?

Btw, I give this song 5.0 out of 5 leaves....

Long Tuesday

Just arrived home :(

Didnt really expect the FYP expt to take so long today, 9am to 1030pm. Tats 13 hrs!! Made a lot of mistakes today, almost pissed my PhD student off. So depressing. Simple things yet it was so difficult for me to perform. Sometimes I just hate myself lar, anws it wasnt going smooth today, tats the point.

So tmr Maths Mid Term, wat a great timing, 8pm!
So unreluctantly have to miss my TE class.
But then Misterlyon hasn't studied, very worried, regretted taking this module.

But good news! He is hanging on :)

Amazing Race 15

Woohoo =) Finally, its BACK! 15th season :D

12 teams of 2 racing across 8 countries, over 25,000 miles! Who will win the US$1M?

Starting in Los Angeles, California --> Japan ---> Vietnam ---> Cambodia ---> United Arab Emirates ---> Netherlands ---> Sweden ---> Estonia ---> Czech Republic and ending in Las Vegas, Nevada!

The funnie thing is that one team will be eliminated at the starting line. hoho

Recess Week

Yesh! Finally the long awaited recess week is here!
But....Design Proj, FYP and a mid term next wed night which I havnt revised my tutorials.
And to make things worse, I fell sick! right in the middle of the week, which is like today!

Didnt want to miss yesterday's safety day tho I was a lil' feverish...but luckily everything went well :)

Did not go to school today, asked the rest to discuss DP first, but in the end, they decided to cancel the meeting coz somebody else couldnt make it. watever...haiz..

Had a 15 mins break in between :p

Rainy day

Was a cold day today, somehow the rain dampens the mood.
Felt really unhappy towards the end of today,
Perhaps things didnt work out the way I planned,
perhaps I didnt have tat golden opportunity,
or maybe simply because I was a shy person...

Album: The Fame

Most likely to be this year’s favorite female artiste!

Just Dance, Poker Face, LoveGame, Paparazzi….Her first 4 singles, each accomplished 2 straight weeks at the top of Singapore Charts! *Clap*

She emerged out of nowhere and has already spread her fame (her album name is so apt) to every corner of this world, just like swine flu lol. But for these first 8 months, her fame has reached ‘pandemic’ level. 8 weeks at the top of the charts, who would forget the “GaGa” style?

This recommended single, unlike the first three, is rather slow and is considered a midtempo track. Personally, I like the catchy chorus and celebrity-themed lyrics.

Check out her hilarious 8 mins video. A murderous plot line involving a doomed starlet who is constantly followed by photographers. Nice!

Btw, I give this song 5.0 out of 5 leaves....

Sheng Kee Chicken Rice

After watching Buzzing Cashier 2, finally they are 'saving' a Chicken Rice stall.

Okay, so last Tue, the 'thought-he-was-very-free' Lyon went all the way to Blk 704 Bedok Reservoir Road to try. It was my third time btw. Gave up waiting for the previous 2 trips made, coz the queue is supersuper long. There is a big carpark behind the coffee shop, so not very difficult to find a lot.

....Waited..waited for I think roughly 1hr 20 mins. Shouldn't have gone during lunch peak, shd go like 11am, maybe tat would be more suitable.

Personally, I really like the chilli cuz it has that X-factor that really makes it stand out from the rest. Not very sweet tho, but for chicken rice still okay. $2.50 is pretty reasonable. Of cuz, it taste really good, maybe I was too hungry after waiting so long..afterall, it was taught by hotel chef, so must at least keep up the standard. Only the stall owner knows the secret formula, so he has to do most of the preparation by himself. Not many helpers also...his wife is mainly doing the packing and collecting of money.

Perhaps, after a few months, things will get better for them.
